Since the founding of the Church of Our Saviour in 1861, the parish has had a significant impact on the people of Placerville and El Dorado County. Until recently, we were the only Anglican presence in El Dorado County. John Marshall, who discovered gold in California, was buried from Our Saviour. Today, the people of Our Saviour have a significant presence in the community by working with the homeless, feeding the hungry hot meals, providing food, and strengthening marriages and relationships. (We also have fun.) We respond because of our baptismal promises and in response to Jesus' teachings.
